Our story · Since 2004
A small bench with a long memory.
Meridian Watchworks began in 2004 as one watchmaker, one lathe and a rented corner of a North Canal Road shophouse. Twenty-two years later it is still a small bench — deliberately.
The workshop
Slow work, done once.
We take a limited number of watches each week. That is not scarcity marketing — it is the honest capacity of three watchmakers who refuse to rush a movement. A calibre that has run for fifty years deserves more than an afternoon.
Our founder trained in Switzerland and spent eleven years in a brand service centre before opening the bench here. Our two other watchmakers came up through Japanese movement specialisation and micro-mechanics respectively. Between them they have turned parts for calibres the manufacturers themselves stopped supporting.
What we are not: a mall counter, a courier depot, or a shop that sends your watch to a third party. Everything happens under this roof, and you can watch through the glass while it does.

The watchmakers
Three pairs of hands.
Lim Wei Sheng
Founder & master watchmaker
Swiss-trained, 30 years at the bench. Chronographs, obsolete part fabrication and anything that has already defeated somebody else.
Arun Kumar
Senior watchmaker
Japanese movement specialist — Seiko, Grand Seiko, Citizen. Rebuilds a 6139 chronograph faster than most people change a strap.
Nadia Fatimah
Restoration & micro-mechanics
Dial conservation, case refinishing and lathe work. The steady hands behind our vintage restorations.
What we promise
Four things we will never do.
Start work without your yes
Every job waits on a written, approved estimate.
Polish away your watch's history
Metal removed is metal gone. We take the minimum.
Sell you a service you don't need
If it's healthy, we'll say so and charge nothing.
Send your watch elsewhere
It stays on our bench, in our safe, in Singapore.
Come and see the bench.
Walk-ins welcome at 18 North Canal Road, #02-01, Singapore 048830. Or send your watch by insured courier — we'll arrange it on WhatsApp.
